Strong as a Mother Therapy

Services

  • There is no greater joy on earth than becoming a mom. There is also nothing nearly as exhausting. We all expect the love and the joy. But motherhood also brings about postpartum symptoms, new fears, greater anxiety, unexpected disappointments, constant doubts, harsh judgment of ourselves and overwhelming, relentless responsibilities. All while managing the rest of our lives. They say it takes a village; that village should include a therapist.

My approach as a clinical social worker and licensed therapist is heavily based in science, ethics, experience, and honesty. I’m trained extensively in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and believe it to be one of the strongest approaches to treating mood dysregulation. I also lean heavily on Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Solution-Focused Therapy.

With my 14 years of clinical experience, combined with my lived experience of motherhood, I'm here to help you navigate all of the stressors of being a mother in today's world. I truly believe that women make the world turn, but no one can do it alone. If you're feeling stuck, confused, depressed, stressed or worse, let me help you find yourself again.

Individual Therapy: $150/hour, multiple insurances accepted

  • I’m licensed in the state of Texas to offer clinical supervision for Licensed Masters of Social Work seeking their clinical supervision to become an LCSW.

The therapeutic modules I use most frequently include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and ACT. I believe in the science and the ethics of the field, and believe in shaping the next generation of LCSWs to carry on the mission of the SW Board of Ethics. Please do reach out with any inquiries!
