Hi, I’m Jacqueline Boutros

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Texas, and the owner and operator of Strong as a Mother Therapy.

I was pulled to clinical social work for so many reasons— but mostly because I wanted to connect with and help people. I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with my Masters of Science in Social Work in 2012, and have worked in the clinical field for the past 14 years.

After becoming a mother myself 7 years ago, my clinical focus has shifted to support women as they navigate the rolling challenges of motherhood. I have experienced the many stressors that pop up in each stage of motherhood— from the sleep-deprived stressful, confusing days with a newborn, to the trying days with a headstrong toddler, and on to the anxieties of watching your children grow and become independent. I know the overwhelm of the unequal labor of the domestic responsibilities, and the stress it causes with a partner. And I can relate to losing your own identity amidst it all.

Strong as a Mother Therapy was born to give women a space to share, to grieve, to vent, to connect, to grow and to find themselves again.

I live in Austin, TX with my husband, our three children and our two dogs. When I’m not working, I am managing this crazy household and in my free time you will find me bonding with my favorite women, working out or reading.

My Approach

My approach as a licensed clinical social worker and licensed therapist is heavily based in science, ethics, experience and honesty. Along with my 14 years of clinical experience, I bring my own lived experience of parenting to the practice — to connect, understand, normalize and problem solve with you.

Human Connection

My experience is complimented by my own personality traits — honesty, integrity, and a bit of humor. With my lived experience as a mother, I’m able to understand intricately the challenges that come along with motherhood, and I’m an unbiased listening ear to hash out each challenging issue or experience.

Lasting impact

My goal as your therapist is to equip you with the skills to succeed without me. No therapy should be forever, and my goal is to connect with you, identify the key areas of need, and work together to improve your life and get to a point where you don’t feel the need for therapy.
